about us

Bailey Justine Mosey-Hoffman is a jewelry maker who lives and works in Brownsville, Indiana. Her style emanates the raw spirit of nature, paying homage to the vast colors and shapes on earth and outer space alike. She favors sterling silver as the main metal and uses a large stone variety. Sourcing ethically mined precious and semi-precious stones from reliable suppliers is a core part of Bailey’s integrity, and she has developed a handful of lifetime connections to ensure this standard. Tourmaline, opal, sapphire, moonstone, pyrite, carnelian, labradorite, kyanite…these are just a few of the many stones she has in her collection. Recently added to the growing list is a human made glowing stone that she and her husband, Jimmy, shape together!

“The quiet bonds between our natural world and the beings within it greatly inform my work’s appearance. My goal is to forge a comfortable connection between the wearer and piece. It’s important to me as the maker that one doesn’t sacrifice comfort for beauty or uniqueness in the jewelry they put on or gift to another,” says Mosey-Hoffman.

She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ball State University in 2015, with a concentration in metalsmithing and jewelry design. In 2014, she interned for three months with astute jewelry designer, Terri Logan. This opportunity brought many new skills to M-H, from sanding/finishing techniques to the business end of making art. She also refined her sawing skills there, later using them to create her senior thesis project. The two hit it off right away, and have kept close contact throughout the years in work and friendship.

Bailey’s work is available in person at The Village Forager in Centerville, Indiana and through her online store. It has been shown in Just Love Studios in Richmond, Indiana and other locations as well. She also partners with Wild Hearts African Farm in Lewisburg, Ohio, to bring you her “Acacia” collection. 25% of any “Acacia” purchase will go back to Wild Hearts and the sweet porcupine’s care.
